Munshi Plus (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is a business-management and point-of-sale app operated by MunshiPlus, contact hi@easybiz.site. The App is offline-first: your business data lives on your device, and connecting to our servers is optional (for backup, multi-device sync, and the AI assistant).
Information we process
You provide / create
- Account: when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from that provider via Firebase Authentication. If you use phone sign-in, we receive your phone number.
- Business records you enter: customers (which may include names, phone numbers, WhatsApp numbers, addresses), products, bills/invoices, orders, payments, and ledger (“Khata”) entries. You control this content.
- Business profile: business name, address, and the payment details (bank/wallet) you choose to show on invoices.
- Contacts (optional): if you import a customer from your phone contacts, the selected contact is processed on your device to create a customer record.
- Voice (premium assistant, optional): if you use voice with the Munshi assistant, the audio is sent to our server and a speech-to-text provider to transcribe your request.
Collected automatically
- Device identifier: a generated ID used to enforce the single-device free tier and route backups to the right account.
- Push token (FCM): to deliver notifications (e.g., device-displacement, reminders).
How we use it
- Provide the App and your account; back up your data and (for premium) sync it across your devices.
- Power the Munshi AI assistant (premium): your typed/spoken query and the relevant business data are processed to generate an answer.
- Send operational notifications; enforce the single active device on the free tier.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your business records for advertising.
How information is shared
- Firebase / Google — authentication and push messaging.
- Our sync server — stores your encrypted-in-transit backup so you can restore it; accessible only to your authenticated account.
- Speech-to-text provider — receives voice audio only when you use the assistant’s voice feature (premium), to return a transcription.
- WhatsApp sharing is user-initiated: when you tap “share,” the App opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled message you send yourself; we do not transmit your data to WhatsApp.
- Legal: we may disclose information if required by law.
Data retention & deletion
- Records stay on your device until you delete them or uninstall.
- Server backups are retained until you delete your account. The App provides in-app account deletion (Settings → delete account), which removes your server-side data; you can also export your data to CSV at any time (Settings → Export data).
Security
Access to the server requires an authenticated token. Free accounts are limited to one active device; logging in elsewhere deactivates the previous device’s server access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
International users & your rights
Depending on your region you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data. Use the in-app Export and Delete account features, or contact hi@easybiz.site. Our servers are hosted in Dubai, UAE.
Children
The App is for business use and is not directed to children under 18.
Changes
We will update this policy and the “Last updated” date as practices change; material changes will be surfaced in-app.
